由 2017 年 12 月開始， 英國政府將 Tier 4 visa pilot scheme 由原本 4 間大學擴展至 27 間大學，當中不乏港人熱門大學，有 18 間為 Russell Group 大學聯盟成員。普遍的英國大學 Taught master degree 只需 1 年就可完成，相比美國、加拿大、澳洲的課程短。
Tier 4 visa pilot scheme簡介:
國際學生成功申請下列大學的一年制碩士學位課程 (Pre sessional語言班時間不計算在內)，將額外獲得六個月的延長簽證。 按照以往的簽證規定，Tier 4學生簽證有效期會在課程結束後4個月到期。而符合新政策條件的學生，簽證限期將獲多兩個月的緩衝時間。
