Sean Cox is a distinguished animation educator and freelance animator, renowned for his expertise in 2D animation. He currently holds the position of Senior Lecturer in 2D Animation and Course Leader for the MA Animation program at the University of Hertfordshire, roles he has undertaken since September 2023. With over a decade of experience in both academic and professional settings, Sean has made significant contributions to the field of animation.
Sean’s artistic achievements include winning the Best 2D Award at the 2014 Glammies for his film “Blokk.” He was also recognized at the BFI Future Film Festival, where his film “Faux” was selected for screening in 2014, showcasing his talent among emerging filmmakers. Furthermore, his entry in the global Loopdeloop competition was shortlisted and screened at various events worldwide, emphasizing his creativity and innovative approach to animation.
In addition to his freelance projects, Sean has worked with sun & moon as a 2D Generalist and Compositor, contributing to a variety of animation projects. His background includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Animation from the University of South Wales, where he graduated with First Class honors in 2014.
